Thank you for sharing what you have written here.

It has been a fall like few I have known. Losing my dad unexpectedly and then just weeks later losing the family home my mom was living in with the one two punch from Hurricanes Helene and Milton has been a darkness there was no way to prepare for. Today, I took my mom back to walk through what is left after evacuating her to safety before Milton. My ache at her pain over so much loss overshadowed the ache I have been carrying for my own loss. I know deep in my heart that somehow there will be a time when we will be able to look back on this- but right now it is simply all we can do to walk through the moment we are in.

Grief is without a doubt a journey. Praying for you and the moment you are in. Much love.
